Città ideali

Proposal for an ideal city, starting from the post-modern city.

Particular importance is given to the open public space. The main characteristics of the settlement are the high population density and polycentrism in the neighborhoods defined by two main streets. The packed streets contrast with the spatious semi-public green courtyards. Architectural variety, streetscape, clear definition between built and unbuilt agricultural space on the edges of the settlement play an important role in the proposal.

Inside, the neighborhoods have a main square, and an intricate street layout, thus making them inconvenient for car use and let the pedestrian perceive the district as bigger.
